Phil Barnett has been involved in residential real estate investment since 1992. As he continued acquiring and managing residential properties for lease, Phil embarked upon becoming a licensed real estate agent and Realtor and obtained his professional license in May of 2003. Phil's working knowledge of remodeling/renovation, home maintenance, and residential investing provides his clients with much more valuable information than a typical Realtor. His wife, Kristie, is a professional home stager and decorator. Working together, they often secure contracts on listings within the first few showings. The Barnetts live with their daughters, Audrey and Kelta, in an historic home they have lovingly restored.

Kelly Fross

Since being licensed in 2002, Kelly's specialty has focused on real estate investing, from bank-owned, investor owned, and pre-forclosure short sales. He has extensive knowledge in home repair and estimating home improvements to ensure maximum market value.

Tara Malakouti

Tara Malakouti is the Executive Director of Sales + Marketing for Malakouti Architects, MACS Development Group, and The Real Estate Market Nashville. Along with her title, she is also the Sales Manager for MACS Development Group and a Realtor with The Real Estate Market Nashville.

With a degree in Marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma and 11 years in the healthcare industry, she has had tremendous sales experience making her an asset to this company. She returned to the Nashville area in 2000 and through the years has held several positions such as Senior Sleep Specialist, Director of Marketing, Director of Sales Training, and Senior Account Executive. Tara was consistently the top producer on the national level, as well as holding the number one sales position on the national level for quite some time while working at renowned healthcare company in Nashville.

With her experience in marketing, sales, and advertising, Tara has been able to maximize the firm’s marketing and advertising strategies. She is also active in local community efforts, memberships, and associations such as the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce and the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce.

Ali Malakouti, Principal Broker

Ali Malakouti, Associate AIA is co-owner of MACS Development Group LLC, Malakouti Architects, and The Real Estate Market Nashville. Ali graduated high school from Montgomery Bell Academy in 1998 and moved to Knoxville to attend college at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Ali graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He furthered his architectural education abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, with an emphasis on Scandinavian design.

After graduating college in 2003, Ali began working immediately with the family in commercial and residential real estate design and development. Ali also became a licensed contractor in 2004 as well as a real estate Broker. During his time with MACS Development Group, Ali led the company to create a marketing, sales, and land acquisition division of the company, giving way to The Real Estate Market Nashville. With experience in architecture, construction, and sales, Ali specializes in commercial and residential land acquisition to maximize the firm’s design potential and overall customer profitability.

Ali is active in local community efforts, memberships and associations. These organizations include: Associate member of The American Institute of Architects, Williamson County Chamber of Commerce, Middle Tennessee Home Builders Association, and The Nashville Civic Urban Design Center.

Doug Simpson

Doug has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Finance. His real estate experience includes experience in investing & construction. He is a former branch manager for NBC Bank.

He will provide a unique blend of experience that will help the customer through every aspect of buying or selling their home.

Doug has two sons. Kyle who is 25 and lives in West Palm Beach, FL and Cory who is 22 and lives in Knoxville, TN. Doug's parents Helen and Clifford live in Terre Haute, IN.

In Doug's spare time, he likes to scuba dive and play piano.
